Did the new Star Trek (2009) movie rip off Star Wars? You be the judge.

The Detroit area has been graced with its first snow fall of the 2008-09 Winter season! Of course it wasn’t much. Just a dusting that did not stick on the roads or sidewalks. Although I did hear of a few reports from folk at work that the highways had become icy in spots. I snapped this picture with the BlackBerry at work for your enjoyment!

Kid Rock’s newest music video “Roll On” was filmed in and around Detroit in late August. It features many Detroit landmarks such as Tiger Stadium, Comerica Park, Lafayette Coney Island, and the Uniroyal tire. This is Rock’s first music video filmed in Detroit in five years.  The video also features Rock driving around Detroit in an early 60′s Lincoln Continental.

Regarding my previous xkcd.com post.. While phones that play songs instead of ring tones are annoying, far more annoying are ring-back tones. While most of the population enjoys today’s crappy “trendy” music, I do not. I don’t enjoy talking on the phone. Should I deem it necessary to call you, I REALLY don’t want to hear what your favorite crappy song of the week is. If I do, I’m not very likely to call you again. Don’t use ring-back tones. They anger me.
